The weatherproof aluminum components are brushed, polished and anodized to endure the harsh outdoor elements. All chimes on this site are different from all other chimes on the market. These chimes are extremely durable, and designed to withstand brutal ocean weather, desert heat and mountain top winds.
What does it mean when you say "Hand Tuned"?The anodized aluminum notes are strung using a special 96LB braided nylon line that has been treated to prevent rotting and to resist the ultraviolet rays of the sun. Chrome plated brass eyelets are inserted into each tubular note, creating a smooth, non-abrasive passage for the line. The amount of metal in each note is carefully calculated to determine the depth of sound. Chimes with smaller, solid notes produce a light, airy sound, and chimes with larger tubular (hollow) notes provide a deeper, cathedral-like, bell-tone sound. What do you mean by “THREE Volume Adjustments”?There are THREE VOLUME ADJUSTMENT FEATURES on every Windharp Wind Chimes.1. Volume Adjustment Pin ~ The Windharp’s frame features our unique Volume Adjustment Pin and Bead Adjustment. The pin suspends both a rotating ball and a striking bar. The pin can be adjusted (forced forward or backward) causing the ball to be closer to the notes for a softer sound. For a more complex concert of both melody and harmony, center the volume adjustment pin, causing equal amounts of the pin to show on both sides of the aluminum frame.
2. NEW! ~ Volume Adjustment Beads ~ The Volume Adjustable Beads on both sides of the Volume Adjustment Pin will slide along the line to enable the adjustment of the height of the striker rod on the back of the windharp. Adjusting the position of both beads will raise or lower the striker for more or less activity. The higher the striker is positioned, the less active the striker will play. After adjustment, slide both beads close to the pin to secure the striker’s position.
3. Volume Adjustment Bead Under the Ball ~ The Volume Adjustment Bead under the ball can be easily moved along the length of the string to adjust the height of the ball that sits upon it. You’ll achieve the greatest amount of sound when the bead and ball are positioned about ½” above the bottom of the notes. If the ball is positioned higher (closer to the frame), it will have less effect upon the notes.
What do you mean by “Double Wind Chimes”? How are they double?All of the Windharps and Windchimes have Unique Designs in Sound Function. The swaying ball of the Windharp, combined with its tuned striker rod, provides a delightful combination of both melody and harmony. While the ball on the front of the notes plays the melody, the striker rod on the backside of the notes provides a peaceful harmony. Enjoy the sound of two chimes in one!
Who can use your “Gift Services"?Anyone! Enjoy our musical art and garden accessories for yourself and use our gift service to send your musical gifts. When placing your order, you will be given the option to have your Windharps and Windchimes wrapped and delivered to your specified location. Each wind harp and wind chime comes in individual boxes. When ordering more than one chime, the entire order will be placed in a master box with the individual boxes inside.
